I am rather sure that you have heard the expression “nothing for free in the world”. This phrase is very truly when it come to a business. What I want to tell you is when you hear any business tell you that they will offer you something for free, it is not mean they do not get even dollar from you, otherwise they can not live their business. As there is no such thing as a free lunch, then why many companies are often promise you that the products or services offered to you are free? The real thing you should to know about word “free” give by the business persons is the meaning of this word is depends on how you define the term “free”.

But, as I just told you above, “nothing for free, especially in business”, there are some interesting conclusions I got after much research into this subject, when I have looked at the following available options to assess their effectiveness for business conference calls.

2. Free telephone conferencing using non-geographic numbers (NGN’s)
Free conference calls using Skype
If you are someone among large numbers of people in the world who like to chat with their love persons via internet by using Skype, you may have heard that Skype allow you to make free voice calls over the internet that is called Voice over Internet Protocol (VOIP). Just only have a computer which can provide you access to the internet with sufficient bandwidth and a good quality headset used to connect to a broadband internet service, it is available for you to hold a conference call with a limited number of participants without anything to pay for. It sounds good, right?
Let go to the matter. Although the incremental cost of the conference call is zero, but only when you already have the equipment described above, otherwise you need to pay for a cost of setting up the system and essential accessory. As nowadays the computer and equipment are offered in cheaper price than before while bandwidths get better, then more people than ever are require platform and hence Skype is an ideal solution for them.
In call quality with Skype is something you should to consider. Refer to experience of many people about this, they have found that they can get excellent results in call quality during quiet times when our internet connection is not busy, but whenever numerous people are there in the internet world, they do not think that it robust is enough for important business calls or personal calls.
In conclusion, I want to expose you that, the actual conference calls are free when using Skype, but you need to invest in computer equipment and internet connection first. And as Skype allow you to deal with them free for limited number of participants and they are lack of reliability, so, it is unsuitable to use Skype in business conference calls where reliability is a must. There are other VOIP services that give you more reliable and economical then Skype.
