It seem like the world today is narrow than before, although it is being in the same size like it ever for very long times in fact. This is because of advancement of technology. Since internet is widely spread in the world in which people can access easily at all time they want, ones can communicate others living across the world every times immediately as they just turn on their computer.

 

In business field, clients who have deal each others in order to run their business also can contact together through telephone, either landline phone or mobile phone. According to this fact, being bilingual is very necessary, especially if you expert in English as one of your bilingual apart from your native language.

 

In fact, the benefits of being bilingual really depend on what languages you speak. As I told you above, English is the main language people around the world use to communicate when they need to deal with others from different countries. Due to this, English is sound like good and number one language you should learn. See, being bilingual as Samoan / Greek speaker is much different than the benefits of being a bilingual speaker of English / Chinese or Spanish.  So, which language you should choose to learn is important. It is good if you are expert in English as your mother language so you have at least one another language to choose to learn. These are several benefits of being bilingual;

 

  • Since you can speak English as your second language, traveling other parts of the world will not caused you trouble as you can use English anywhere.
  • You can order food in a restaurant and look like an expert if you can use the native language of the country you are at that time.
  • You can cuss someone out without them having a clue.
  • You can talk behind someone’s back while standing in front of them.
  • You can cheat at cards by telling your partner what to do in a cough that sounds like a cough to everyone else.
  • You may work for the CIA which will need you to spy on your friends or work for the FBI as they need lots of bilingual people to spy on everyone.

 

While some advantage stated above are just like a bit of fun, granted they are all true. Actually, the advantages of being bilingual are many. In today’s job market, having the benefits of being bilingual mean to the difference between getting a job and continuing to deal with the consequences of unemployment.

 

If you are learning at the school, being bilingual would mean an easy ‘A’ in class and when you are on the job site, it could mean a promotion or additional assignments that you were not eligible for prior to your language skills.

 

Although it need you to work hard to learn another language, but the worth result will come to you eventually. Seek time to learn which language necessary and could pay you huge benefit in the future is always a wise idea.
