Math Can Learn With More Fun
Math is the subject of learning that seems is a difficult for most people including children. Math does not show the interest in simple problems involving subtraction, division and multiplication. Often time that mathematics becomes boring for the kids because they find it hard to understand the rule of math. For make the kids giving their attention in mathematics, there are the ways you can try.
1. Dividing a pizza can be a good way to teach math. Kids can divide a pizza for their family members. The piece they must to provide to other is follow to the number of person in the family. You can ask them that if the family has four people include the kids, how many pizza pieces each person will get. This is a simple activity to make division easy to learn.
2. The number of pairs of different shoes in the house can calculate by kids. They can multiply the total number of shoes to the total number of pairs. This way can help them to learn about multiplication. Choose the thing your kids like such as groups of candies, a group of character in their favorite cartoon story, or a type of vehicle if your kids are boy. If each group has four candies and there are five groups, ask them what is the total of candies?
3. When you go to the local shop with your child, ask them to help you calculate how many you must to pay for all items you want to buy. Your kids will check each item for its price then; they will add all together and let you know how much you need to prepare the money.
4. Most of children like to watch television shows. You can make the show more interesting for your child by ask them to count down the time of each commercial break and the time of the show by a stop watch. When the show ends, they can see how much the time spend to commercials and how much to the show. This task allows the child to learn how to subtract things.
5. Some of computer games are consist of math drills. Find the game offer your kids to spend their brain in mathematics to let them know the math can come in the fun game.
6. The things in your house are in different shape. Let your child to learn about them by counting the sides of each shape.
7. While cooking different recipes, ask your kids to join with you this activity. This way will allow they learn measurement of various cooking ingredient.
8. Tell your kids that math is not any thing abstract, it relates to our life in many ways. For instant, if they have four bars of chocolate and they want to share with their only one friend, they need to calculate that how many bars each one must to receive. And if they have a lot of candies in hand and do not know how many of them, the other way to know unless to count all is giving one candy to each of their friends until the candies are finished then, ask one person to count how many candies him get and multiply with the number of friends who get the candies.
