Tea Time – Relax Time

What’s a drink do you want when you have a rest time? One of all drinks that many people think to is tea. Tea is a favored drink in social gatherings. You can see the tea is simply drinks always prepared for wedding party; it is one kind of drink serves to you during the seminar, and the waiter usually asks you about tea or coffee after the main course. Tea is the favored drink everyone has when they want to rest for a while after long time hard work. So, we can say “tea time is a relax time”

It is very good if you have someone to join together in your tea time that it will completed the concept of tea time. Concept of “tea time” is the time with tea spend together with friends for chatting, discussion, include gossipy.

Tea time has impact on social life of the people. Tea time on the afternoon gradually got acceptance among civilized societies and become popular in the world now. “Kitty Party” is one of the popular tea parties organized by homemakers for friend meeting. The essential of tea party on the afternoon or evening is allowing friends or peers in the same social and economic strata spend time together with few activities. Tea party frequently set up in a house that has a yard or garden which enough size to receive a visitor. Not only tea prepares for tea time, but the host at a reception also has some bakery or snack waiting for a member. Tea time with some activities is more fun time. Everyone will have happiness from playing simply game that suit for all age. For the old people, only discussion or chatting is the most happily. It is a good way for a housewife to get out boring from managing the household and cooking.

History of Tea Time

In Victorian era-the era previously for a long time, One Duchess of Bedford, Queen Victoria’s lady-in-waiting is credited for tradition of tea time. It was during the time that the British adopted “High Tea”. High tea was the tea serve on a high dinner table at six o’ clock in the evening. High tea was a heavy meal that the tea served with cakes and other assorted meals.

In English, lunch had become a small meal in diet that makes the Duchess of Bedford started to feel dizzy from skimpy lunch taken about twelve o’clock. So, she has one more break with tea at about four o’clock in the afternoon that adopted from the European policy. The Duchess of Bedford invited her associates and friends to join her tea session in this afternoon that tea was served together with bread and butter or other light meals. She found that it was a good time with her friend or associates then when she went back to England she gave invitations to all her friends to join tea time in an afternoon with her. Thence, tea time on the afternoon was very popular among people all over England and came into existence.
