Vegetarian Diet Can Prevent Cancer Risk - I

Nowadays, eating a vegetarian became more famous among young girls and ladies because they notice about eating a vegetarian diet is healthier for them. Vegetarian diets are high in fiber and low in saturated, and well supplied with cancer-protective phytochemicals that can help to prevent cancer or reduce the cancer risk. Many studies in European Union (EU) countries found that vegetarians are about 40 percent less likely to develop cancer compared with meat eaters. This shown that less certain type of cancer incidence among vegetarians.

In the U.S., many studies being made to prove that the vegetarian’s diet is good for prevent cancer. It has shown significant reductions in cancer risk among the plant-based diets. Similarly, China is the nation where breast cancer rates are dramatically lower because of their vegetarian diets. Interestingly, Japanese women who always took meats more in their daily meals are more likely to develop breast cancer than women who are vegetarians that took more plant in their daily meal. Meat products and dairy products are more contribute many forms of cancer, including cancer of the breast, ovaries, colon, and prostate.

 

A report made by medical researcher shown that the rate of breast cancer among pre-menopausal women who take the most meat products (animal-based diet) is higher which mean they will have more risk to develop breast cancer, about one-third higher than women who ate more vegetarian (plant-based diet). Cambridge University studies that diet high in saturated fat can increase the breast cancer risk. This is because high fat diets can encourage the body production of estrogens and an increased level of this hormone has been linked to breast cancer.

 

A separate study from Harvard University found that tens of among thousands of men and women who are regular meat eaters increase colon cancer risk roughly 300 percent. This is happened because daily meat consumption can triples the risk of prostate enlargement. Beside that, dairy products can increase risk on ovarian cancer because the process of breaking down the lactose (milk sugar) can damage the ovaries. Regularly, taking dairy products in daily meal can double the risk and without taking vegetables in daily meal can quadruples the risk of ovarian cancer.

Vegetarian foods are rich of vitamins, high of fiber, and phytochemical that can help to prevent cancer. Vegetarian are different from meat products that contain animal fat that linked to cancer risk. In addition, blood analysis being made among the vegetarians shown that it contain a high level of “natural killer cells”, specialized the white blood cells that attack the cancer cells.

 

Vegetables also good for our digestive system as the system is tend to designed to metabolize vegetable matter more than animal products. Fruits, vegetables, nuts and legumes provide the kind of dietary fiber that our digestive systems need to function properly. Many of the health benefits from vegetarian diet can create a healthy digestive system in the bowels and stomach. In contrast, eating more animal products and dairy products that are laden with hormones and antibiotics can cause our digestive system function improperly. And when the digestive system does not function and work properly, it will leads to the chance of disease gaining or allow the change in the DNA of cells in the colon or stomach to rise. When we did not get enough fiber that we need, we are incurring an elimination problems and host of digestion, such as constipation and hemorrhoids that are a result of straining.
