Tips for Choosing Baby Pushchairs – Part II
In part one, I have told you what thing to take in mind when looking for a baby pushchair. Not only things declared in the last part necessary to think of, but there are also the factors stated below;
4. Weight. Why you will need to think of weight as there are rollers under a pushchair to enable you to push it to anywhere you want? The reason is, do not think the rollers can exactly keep you away from using your energy to push things forward. In facts, they just only encourage your pushing. And when it come to the weight of baby pushchair, you need to think about the weight you will have to push around, how strong or fit are you, will you be lifting and carrying a pushchair on your own? Also determine the way you travel, on public transport, in a car? Where do you live? Will you need to carry the pushchair up and down stairs? However, always remember when testing the weight of a pushchair, you must to plus the weight of your baby too so you could know whether the weight is fit for you or not.
5. Maneuverability. Maneuverability is not only important when considering purchasing a new car. But, this is also a matter when looking for a baby pushchair too. Think that will you be nipping around town, in and out of shops, through doorways and tight spaces? A swivel front wheel will be your good choice in case like that, but for using over rougher terrain, you will need a lockable pushchair. On the other hand, think about the suspension as well as the maneuverability of the wheels if you plan on off-roading, on the beach or in the countryside.
6. Compactness. Pushchairs when looking for will probably be unfolded so you can check out most of the features. But, remember to fold it to see how easy it is to fold and how compact it is when folded. This will let you to know how about when you are going to store it at home or to take it in your car. Will it fit easily in your car? It is good to check out whether it is easy to fold and unfold with one hand. Does it have quick release wheels to make it easy to get in and out of the car?
7. Extras. Basic pushchair may be one you would like to buy at the start. But, it is worth considering whether it is adaptable. For example, could it become a complete travel system? Can you attach a car seat or carrycot to the frame to transfer baby with disturbance? Can you add an extra seat if you have another baby? Do you need a larger shopping basket that you can attach, or get a coordinating bag, blanket, foot muff, etc? Can you add extras to it? There are whole ranges of matching extras that can be bought separately offered by some brands. If you realized that you may need some change sometimes, it is good to get one that you can adapt without having to buy a complete new pushchair.
