Easy Ways to Interior Painting – Part I
The easiest ways for you to decorate your home to give it an instant new look is by painting it. Painting your interior with new painting and colour can bring the new surrounding for your home environment. Unfortunately, most of the homeowners are dread interior painting. Do painting by yourself is not sound difficult as you think, especially if you know what to do and how to paint in most efficient manner. By follow these basic interior painting tips, and you’ll find that interior painting are not difficult as you think and it will much easier and much more fun.
First thing before you start to interior painting, you need to avoid trying to prepare the area and get it painted all in one day. When you trying to cram everything, it will only leave you feeling rushed and in the end it will lead to a bad paint job. It’s a better way you can set aside a separate day to do all the prep work to prepare an area for painting. If the area that you plan to paint is not big too much, this can even be done a few days ahead. Slowly to prep all the stuffs in your room to aside then you can start painting from one side to other side. Prep work should include such things as, moving the furniture out of the way and cover it with canvas or plastic sheet, taping the walls such as lamp, take out all the artwork or paint work that hanging on the wall, cleaning the dust or spider web on the wall, laying down drop cloths to avoid paint dropping on the floor or you can use the canvas for covering your floor and gathering together any painting supplies you might need.
Remember; don’t try to paint over the damaged walls. Before you start to paint your home walls, you need to look over the walls and fix any holes or cracks. It’s not very difficult job to fix any holes and cracks on the walls; and all you need is a drywall kit and some sandpaper. Be sure you need to do this at least a day before your start painting. That way the drywall plaster will have time to dry completely and you’ll have time to sand down the area as well to make the holes or cracks fixing area look smooth. You also need to take out any nails or screw that you have nailed on the wall for hang artwork; because it can make your painting look terrible and it also can damaged your brushes when you painting over it.
Preparing the right painting supplies is the important thing you need to do such as choosing the best brushes for the paint job. You need to decide that what type of paints that you want to paint inside your home. If you choose to use water-based paint or latex paint, the best choice is paint with synthetic bristled brushes because it will give you an even coat. If you want to use oil-based paints, you can choose natural bristled brushes and it will always work best for this type of paint. For the large areas, such as the wall; you want to use foam rollers and you’ll also need smaller brushes to paint around the trim and windows and the narrow space.
