Easy Ways to Interior Painting – Part II
For making your interior painting look more professional looks, always use a primer because it will make your painting go on a lot more smoothly. This is because drywall has a porous surface that will soak up the paint and create uneven colour. In order to make sure the primer can keeps paint colour smooth and crisp, it’s important to take time to prepare the wall for primer paint. A primer also helps you avoid any possible tainting from the previous wall colour. You might even consider having your primer tinted to match with your base coat colour. Often times, this ways can help you avoid having put a second coat of base colour on the walls.
Don’t forget to tape the area that you don’t to get paint on. Be sure you use painter’s blue tape that you can easily get from store that sold painting equipment to prevent the paint to get on, such as trim, windows and door frames. When you applied this tape to a smooth surface, it won’t let the paint to seep through to the areas underneath. Don’t rush to remove the tape after you just finish your painting, need to wait some time for the paint completely dries and just simply remove the tape. The nice thing of this tape is it can prevent any of the paint coming off with it. So, you don’t have to worry about the tape will damaged your painting.
When painting, always keep plenty of old rags around for any mistakes you might make. It’s inevitable that you will drop some paint on the trim or on the floor. Sometime you can hit something that you shouldn’t with a brush and make the paint separate everywhere. Quickly clean the dropping before it dry because wet paint is more easily to clean out. It also for you to clean your hand that gets in paint before you go to pick out something or touch the wall that you already finish painting.
You also need to have plenty of natural light in the room when painting because it can help you to see where you are painting and any areas you might have missed. Lighting is important for you to see the walls were completely painted and to see the paint uneven colour impact to the walls. After finish your interior painting job, don’t even throw away leftover paints so you have it for any future touch-ups or fixes. If your home didn’t have the spare for store the large paint and can that only has a small amount of paint. You can pour the leftover paint into a glass jar with tight lid and store it with that way. The glass jar then needs to be labeled with exact colour of the paint, paint code, the date, and the room that you used it. Store it in the place with room temperature and prevent the place that has directly to sunrise.
