Does Your Cats Bite You?
If you have cat in home, you may wonder that why sometimes your familiar cat bite you? Actually, this is a common behavior of cats after inappropriate cat peeing. And because you and many cat owners do not understand about their pet’s behavior, so they fail to deal with it properly. This lead those get into a bad relationship with their cats.
It could be a sad story if you end up a good relationship with your kitten just because you do not exactly why it make you hurt. Whenever it becomes frequently event that your cat bites you, do not take away from your pretty cat until you really know the reason behind.
When you hurt from a cat’s bitten, what to think of first is when does it happen? And what to see is does the biting draw blood? You will need to stop the biting of your cat if it happen very often, and frequently draws blood. And to stop this, you need to carry a squeeze bottle of water with you. Immediately spray a little bit of water at your cat’s face anytime you are bitten. You just want to lightly shock your kitty, not drench it. This will make your cat know that its biting is not appropriate behavior. Doing this immediately and consistently will break your cat of this problem behavior eventually.
In the other case, your cat may suddenly bite you while you are playing with or even petting her/him. Whenever your cat often does like this, he/she wants to let you know that you should to stop what thing doing at that time – the other word is he/she wants you to stop what you are doing with him/her. Maybe he/she has gotten bored, or just wants to do something else. You should to respect your cat so that you can make a good relationship with him/her.
It is important to know the difference between your cat biting you and nipping you. A biting can draw your blood, but a nipping does not. Cat bites which draw blood is a behavioral problem you should stop as it can lead you to the dangerous or serious illness. On the other hand, your kitten just want to show you that he/she love you when he/she nips you playfully, or gnaws on your knuckles or toes.
Additionally, some cats do not know how to control their strength. Sometimes, they were removed from their litter-mates or mother too early and never have learned that biting too hard is wrong. However, a biting of cats sometimes can cause by the owners, especially when you play with your cat without using cat toys. Instead of allow your hands or knuckles to work as stuffed toy, it is better to provide your kitten with toys created for cats that include to a little ball which bounces well.
However, you should to keep in mind that over-reacts when your cat bites you are wrong and should be avoided. Before determine to punish him/her, make sure you know whether or not the biting is just a message, not tend to harm you.
