Second, you can use positive reinforcement for a technique to train your dog stop to biting. It was a training technique that you are rewards him for a good behavior with something positive. One of positive reinforcement that works well with an aggressive biting dog is to give him a good praise when he does not bite during playing with you. The praise can be rubbing at his belly, patting on his head, give him extra attention or give him some of his favorite foods. Positive reinforcement is a great way to show to your dog the type of behavior that you prefer him to be and not to be the aggressive dog.
Third, you can use some actions for warn him to stop biting. When you are noticed that your dog begins to nip or bite, quickly ask him to sit. Once he already seated, take your index finger and hold it in front of his nose; and then tap on his nose as your word say to him in a firm tone “bad dog”. Remember, the tap itself are not a punishment, so don’t be particularly strong. It just for meant to warn him no to bite anymore and want to encourage him to stop the bad behavior. Don’t even scream to him, just use a severe tone which your dog will understand what you’re trying to tell him. Eventually, your dog will come to understand what you want to do with them once you’re raising your index finger as an indication to stop their aggressive behavior.
Another technique can be used to stop your dog from biting is to avoid a nipping and biting games when he is still puppy. If you didn’t start or encourage playing these kinds of games from the beginning, your dog will not be prone to nipping and biting at inopportunity times. For example, when you are playing a chasing game with your dog, your dog may be exciting and it will likely encourage to your dog that you are prey for haunted. This will make your dog nipping and biting instinct appear. Beside that, tug-of-war also is a game that you must avoid to playing with your dog because it will encourage him to think that you are his equal and may biting you as well. This not means your dog tends to harm you with his nipping and biting, but he is trying to win to get the toy from your hand. Replace this game with the other games that train them to “drop and release” commands so that your authority is never questioned.
The best technique that you can practice to train your dog to stop biting is to divert their attention from biting human to something that we can chew on, like a dog toy. Replacing the flesh with some chew dog toy such as plastic bone each time your dog turn to inappropriate biting, and with this, he will get the idea that you’re not meant for biting. Quickly get some chew dog toys from pet shop if you notice his resorts to biting during playing again to reinforce their aggressive behavior.
Your dog aggressive behavior that likes to bite during playing can bring in a serious problem. It is important that you must stop the biting behavior as soon as it starts, change it and discipline it for a good behavior; and make sure he is understand that biting are not allowed.
