Going with an electric guitar and amp on stage is pretty much a no brainer. The normal things for all guitarists to do are setting the amp up, plug in their guitar, tweak the tone and they are off. The biggest decision beyond that is there is largely decided by what size venue you are playing whether or not to mic the amp through the PA.

On the other hand, the choices are not always as clear cut with an acoustic guitar. There a few approaches you can take including plugging into an amp, putting a mic on the guitar, or running direct into the PA system.

Most people never have had known that 97% of what we communicate by phone is by vocal tone. This mean your message is understood from the actual words just only 3%.
