Five Boroughs of New York City to Visit

New York known as the city that never sleeps enjoys a fame and popularity that is normally reserved for capital cities. America’s ‘Big Apple’ is instantly recognizable for its impressive skyline and bright yellow taxis. However, when deciding where to visit in New York, it is important to examine each of New York’s five boroughs. All of these boroughs are offering a unique experience to the visitors visiting the New York City.

 

The first borough will be recommended here is the borough of Queens. This is where boasts an incomparable sense of culture that no other borough can lay claim to. During the 1940s, Queens was the central point of the jazz growth movement, even the start like Louis Armstrong and Ella Fitzgerald enjoying the strong cultural vibrancy Queens offered. Another thing make Queens become a famous town is that there is as home of the New York Mets - one of the city’s most famous baseball teams. Queens, as one of New York’s largest boroughs, trails just behind Brooklyn in terms of population.

 

Brooklyn is also one city’s most populous borough. Because of its wide social and ethnic diversity, Brooklyn has become famous city where the travelers are likely chosen to go to. In 1898, Brooklyn was an independent city but still like to associate with New York so they decided to become a part of New York City and a move many residents refer to as ‘the great mistake of 1898’. Because of this, Brooklyn residents are different from other New Yorkers. However, this is interesting things that can bring many visitors who would like to explore all the different aspects of New York to Brooklyn.

 

Manhattan is where a lot of people visiting to New York usually think of. Numerous of high skyscrapers of the region and commercial district have become ingrained in our minds through film and television. Actually, some of the most popular areas to visit when visiting Manhattan include Madison Square Garden, the Broadway theatre region, and Greenwich Village. Manhattan is also home to Time Square and where has most popular green area of New York - Central Park.

The next interesting borough of the New York City is the Bronx. Bronx, unlike Manhattan, has not enjoyed the same media portrayal and has often been noted for its high crime and derelict neighborhoods. However, thank to the Bronx Zoo that bring a lot of tourist to the Bronx. Bronx is also known for the location of the new Yankee Stadium - the home of the New York Yankees.

The last one will be suggested here is Staten Island, originally known as the Borough of Richmond. There is one of the most beautiful districts of New York City. This is where is most popular tourist attraction prove by Staten Island Ferry that offer spectacular views of the Statue of Liberty, Lower Manhattan and Ellis Island. The rustic district also offers 35 miles of walking trails offering a unique breath of fresh air and this make Staten Island is separated from the other boroughs.
