Manner in Writing a Letter

Letter, no matter which type of it, is require the right manner as well as writing talent to create a great letter which contain good words covey essential meaning in the right pattern. It requires a little skills o writing. Whether you are writing a business or a personal letter, both allow you to use the same basic format.

 

You might see there are many letters tend to waffle on somewhat and never get to the point. These letters just like to lead the readers on a circular journey to nowhere. The readers, after reading entire message, still do not know what the writers would like to convey. Similarly, there are some letters do not make any sense at all. Actually, the mistake is often happened because the lack of repeat and entire reading of the letter after typed of the typesetters or secretaries. And when typesetters simply do not read what they have just typed, it is easy for typo to rise up and the wrong words will not be edited until the letter is sent to the reader. However, although it is necessary to proof read the letter after typed, this should not be done by the typesetters. Instead, the checking task should be done by others because typesetters would become blind to any errors after they have read their own letter a number of times.

 

The format can be used for any types of letters: most letters contain;

•    The letter date

•    Name and address of the writer

•    The name & address of the person who will receive the letter

•    Some sort of greeting

•    The letter body

•    The salutation

•    Signature of the writer

However, when it come to business letter, there are some slightly differences. A wide variety of additional information might be contained in business letter and it may have many different issues, but regularly, they are written in somewhat of a standard format too.

On the other hand, personal letter can be written without requiring any of the technical stuff that a business letter would normally include. And the letter can be totally casual if you use words or format that are normally used in business letters.

Things to be aware of when writing the letter

Always keep in mind that the receiver can not see your body language and is unaware of the context in which the letter is written. Therefore, how & what you write may be taken literally. According to this, it is very vital to make sure the receiver will really know and understand the real meaning or your aim exactly when you use informal phrased. In addition, you might be looked stupid when misspelling are displayed in your letter, so it is always good to use a spellchecker if you are looking to make a good impression when there is business letter.

Before send your letter to any person, it is worth to read it over after typed. This will help you to sure that there is no misspelling, impolite words, and also let you know the letter actually says what you really want it to say.
